About
Kirsten Larson is a nurse practitioner serving the Matanuska Valley
through Mat-Su Heart in Palmer, Alaska. Kirsten is a long-time
Alaskan resident. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at the University of
Alaska Anchorage.
At Mat-Su Heart, Kirsten sees patients for any of their
cardiovascular needs. Her first priority is on prevention and helping
patients stay healthy and active as long as possible so they can
enjoy their lives and the activities they love. She also specializes in
managing acute and chronic heart disease, heart failure,
arrhythmias, hypertension, dyslipidemia, peripheral vascular
disease, valvular disease, cardiomyopathy, and anything else within
the realm of cardiovascular disease.
Kirsten moved to Alaska from Northern Idaho in 1986 and has lived
here in the Valley since – raising her two now-adult children
alongside her husband Craig. When she’s not working with patients,
Kirsten loves spending time with her family, hiking, fishing,
gardening, traveling, cooking, snow machining or enjoying excursions out to the family’s historical cabin in Petersville.
