Dr. Fahad Younas is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He earned his medical degree at Shifa College of Medicine in Pakistan and completed residency training at St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Oakland, Michigan. Dr. Younas has completed fellowship training in four subspecialties: Heart Failure and Transplant, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Vascular Medicine and Intervention.
Dr. Younas performs procedures in the cardiac cath lab at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, including angioplasty and stenting to open blocked arteries in the heart. He also places permanent pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators and loop recorders. His interests outside of work include table tennis, golf, basketball, cricket, reading, traveling, hiking and movies.
